Street Arts is a drop-in arts program held in the early evening during the most difficult time of the day in our community. Street Arts give people who are living in crisis an opportunity to experience and create art in a safe and supportive setting. There are many members of our community who live in addiction and are former artists or are people who would like to experience art but have never had the opportunity. This program will provide guidance, instruction and the tools to create with the idea of inspiring, giving hope, and exciting the desire for change.
The Street Arts program provides an indigenous artists registry to give aboriginal artists the opportunity to have their work documented and profiled. Aboriginal artists will also have the opportunity to sell their work at the Chinese Night Market in a partnership between the Aboriginal Front Door and the Chinese Business Association.
Street Art programs will vary in content but will always include mentors in specific artistic disciplines. In the beginning the programs may be split between youth and adults.
