Past Programs

The Fabric Arts program began  in May  of 2009 and culminated in an exhibition and sale in October of 2009 at the Interurban Gallery. This program gave the diverse community of the Downtown Eastside opportunities to drop-in and create together in quilt-making and other fabric arts.

Seniors “Move It”
Move-it for Seniors is a drop-in movement program designed by Joe Ink and the Move It Dance Company for seniors in the neighbourhood who face problems around mobility and isolation.

Music of the Returning Journey

“Music Of The Returning Journey” is a creative opportunity to blend the authenticity of southern blues with traditional “big drums” or Pow Wow drums of the First Nations culture. This is a uniquely Canadian concept. The concept for “Music Of The Returning Journey” is to explore, through songwriting and performance, the connection between traditional indigenous music and the blues.

Street Arts is a drop-in arts program held in the early evening during the most difficult time of the day in our community. Street Arts give people who are living in crisis an opportunity to experience and create art in a safe and supportive setting.
