The Downtown Eastside Centre for the Arts is a participant in the Chinatown Night Market every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 to 11:00 p.m. from July 17 to September 6, 2009. We invite everyone to come and explore our Downtown Eastside Aboriginal Arts Showcase at the Chinatown Night Market which features aboriginal art and local artists.

Vancouver Folk Festival
The Downtown Eastside Centre for the Arts will be on the grounds of the Vancouver Folk Festival on July 18 and 19, 2009 to give people the opportunity to participate in the Vancouver Folk Festival Quilt Circle and create a square for the quilt which will be featured in the Quilt Exhibit in October at the Interurban Gallery.
